The Plumbers Mate Pipe Tree Activity Box is a construction activity designed to engage the person living with dementia. Use as either a cognitive activity or a fine-motor manipulation, ocular motor, and visual perception skills .
Sturdy 40-piece assembly task comprised of PVC pipes and fittings fit together. The hardwood base has one hole in it, into which the first pipe piece is fitted, ready to build upon. Alternatively the pieces can be fitted together without a base. Can be easily assembled; can be used by individuals at home, therapy teachers in a school classroom, or professionals in the medical field

- Working in pairs try and match what the other is building
- One person build a shape, and then from memory have another person try and recreate it.
- See who can build the widest and/or tallest form.
- Race to see who can build a given form the quests
- Place an object (perhaps a cup) somewhere off to the side of the base and then try and build a pipe across and into or onto that object.
- To make this a bit more challenging try and do the same but over or under an obstacle.
