Qwirkle

Qwirkle is a tabletop game designed for 2 to 4 players that promotes visual perception through matching, sorting, and pattern recognition. With its brightly colored tiles set against a black background, Qwirkle supports easy visual tracking—making it especially suitable for aged care settings and individuals in the early stages of dementia.

Players take turns placing tiles by matching colors or shapes with those already on the table. Points are scored by creating lines of tiles that are all the same color or all the same shape, with no duplicates. Completing a line of six tiles earns a special bonus called a “Qwirkle.”

This simple yet stimulating game encourages cognitive engagement, social interaction, and fine motor skills, making it an excellent choice for aged care environments and dementia-friendly activities.
